The project is limited to thirteen (13) encroachments. One (1) proposed encroachment is for water diversion from an unnamed tributary to York Creek. Water will be diverted to storage in an off-stream pond for irrigation and fire protection use. Work for the water diversion will include installation, use and maintenance of water diversion infrastructure. One (1) proposed encroachment is for maintenance of an existing on-stream pond. Water is not diverted from the pond for consumptive use. Maintenance of the pond will include spillway repairs, including placement of rock armor. Four (4) proposed encroachments are to upgrade undersized culverts (identified as projects SC 6, 8, 10 and 11). Work for these encroachments will include excavation, removal of the existing culverts, replacement with new properly sized culverts, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. Seven (7) proposed encroachments are for maintenance of existing stream crossings (identified as projects SC 1-5, 7, and 9). Work for these projects may include the placement of rock armor.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2016112028/153,Diaz Stream Crossings and Remediation Project Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. EPIMS-MEN-29084-R1C,Angela Liebenberg,Department of Fish and Wildlife,N/A,,619 Second Street,,Eureka,CA,95501,7079644830,,Ukiah,Mendocino,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Department of Fish and Wildlife,No,3/18/2020,No,No,Yes,,Yes,No,No,No,The mitigated negative declaration prepared for the project is available to the general public at the office location listed above for the Lead Agency.
