The State Water Board’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program is financing the Project. The Project includes upgrading the existing water supply by adding an additional water source on public land to comply with federal and state drinking water standards to resolve elevated levels of arsenic in drinking water. The Project includes equipping a test well (well No. 3) as a production well and blending with water from Well No. 2 in a blending tank. A 6-inch water supply pipeline will be constructed connecting the Well No. 3 to the proposed blending tank at the existing Well No. 2. The existing pipeline at Well No. 2 will be reconfigured to discharge into the new low profile 80,000-gallon blending tank. A new booster pump station (BP) will be located at the Well No. 2 site to pump water from the blending tank into the existing 4-inch transmission main to BP No.1, and ultimately to the treated storage tanks. If necessary, chlorination will be achieved by injecting sodium hypochlorite solution into each of the raw water pipelines from Well No. 2 and Well No. 3 prior to blending. In addition, approximately 11,250 feet of 4-inch water pipeline between BP No. 1 and BP No. 2 along the north side of Redrock Randsburg Road will be replaced with a 6-inch water pipeline. The Project also includes amending the existing Right-of Way (ROW) on Bureau of Land Management land with an issuance of an access road ROW easement. Construction staging include the areas surrounding the disturbed well site, along the pipeline alignments, and along the existing ROW.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2016111012/3,Rand Communities Water Supply Project,Bridget Binning,State Water Resources Control Board,N/A,,Division of Financial Assistance,1001 I Street 16th Floor,Sacramento,CA,95814,9164495641,,,Kern,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,State Water Board,No,8/17/2020,No,No,Yes,,Yes,Yes,No,Yes,"A record of financing approval for the Project is available to the general public at the State Water Board, Division of Financial Assistance at 1001 I Street, 16th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814.
