The RAW outlines interim actions to control surface water accumulation and bird use in the former gypsium stockpile area at the site. The Gypsium Pond will be dried using a combination of stormwater drainage control improvements and restoration of the eastern berm that separates the Gypsum Pond from the adjacent tidal marsh. Once the primary sources of water inflow into the Gymsum Pond are eliminated, the high evaporation capacity of the area will dry the Gypsum Pond and eliminate the potential exposure to ecological receptors from any potential metals that exceed ecological protection levels in the Gypsum Pond water. The project components in the removal action include berm restoration, stormwater drainage control improvements, and installation and operation of a bird deterrence system. The Gypsum Pond management is part fo the on-going environmental investigation and remediation program being conducted at the Site. If approved, the RAW would prepare the project area for a Site-wide soil remedy by controlling the surface water accumulation within the Former Gypsum Stockpile Area and prevent exposure of birds to concentrations fo metals that are above ecological protection levels.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2016102030/2,Gypsum Pond Removal Action Work Plan - Honeywell Bay Point Site,Daniel Murphy,Department of Toxic Substances Control,N/A,,700 Heinz Ave,,Berkeley,CA,94710,5105403772,38°2'46.6224"N 121°58'58.5228"W,,Contra Costa,,Port Chicago hwy,94565,63.3,"099-030-027, 028",SR 4,Suisun Bay,,,,,,,,,,,,,DTSC ,Yes,6/19/2017,No,No,Yes,,Yes,,No,No,"700 Heinz Ave., Suite 200, Berkeley, CA 94710"
