Within big Canyon Nature Park, an existing culvert underneath Jamboree Road will be extended to accommodate an access road on the culvert extension. Downstream of the new culvert outlet structure, 200 linear feet of stream will be realigned. The banks of the low-flow portion of realigned stream channel will be reconstructed using vegetated soil lifts. Riparian areas adjacent to the reconstructed channel will be graded to restore floodplain benches and will be replanted with native riparian vegetation. A water quality treatment basin will also be constructed within the project area. riparian habitat enhancement will also occur which will consist of removing non-native vegetation. Native riparian vegetation may be temporarily impacted to create access routes to remove non-native root systems. Following non-native vegetation removal, the areas will be restored with native riparian vegetation. The Project will permanentlyimpact up to 0.44 acre of southern riparian forest and temporarily impact an undetermined acreage of habitat within a 2.03 acre area of southern willow forest with scattered non-natives for access to non-native vegetation. The project will create 0.25 acre of southern riparian forest, enhance 1.07 acres of southern riparian forest, and restore all temporary impacts to southern riparian forest.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2016031011/3,Big Canyon Habitat Restoration & Water Quality Improvement Project,Kevin Hupf,CDFW,N/A,,3883 Ruffin Road,,San Diego,CA,92123,8586363160,33°37'43.02"N 117°52'40.27"W,Newport Beach,Orange,,Jamboree Road south of Eastbluff Drive,,6,Multiple,Hwy 1 and Hwy 73,"Upper Newport Bay, Big Canyon Creek",,,,,,,,,,,,,CDFW ,No,2/28/2017,No,No,Yes,,Yes,,No,No,"3883 Ruffin Road, San Diego, CA 92123"
