On 330 Holly Drive, the Remediation Project will involve excavation and replacement of affected soils under existing developed surfaces that do not constitute habitat that supports species protected pursuant to CESA. Incidental Take Permit 2081-2016-014-03 shall cover activities occurring in the swale restoration project (Restoration Project) implemented on 330 Holly Drive as partial mitigation for the Remediation Project. A drainage swale that now supports a landscaped area and vegetable boxes associated with the former residence at 330 Holly Drive will be restored to a natural drainage, swale as part of the Remediation Project. This 0.07 acre area is covered under this ITP, and the only location that the applicant has requested Incidental Take coverage. The Restoration Project will include the removal of non-native landscape species and eight large raised vegetable bed planters. The Restoration Project also includes the creation of a seasonal wetland within an existing upland area of the swale. Project will result in impacts to 0.07 acres of CA tiger salamander habitat; the project will permanently remove 0.07 acres of CA tiger salamander habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of CA tiger salamander, which is/are designated as a threatened species under the CESA. The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
