The proposed distribution system expansion project would be supplied by the existing tertiary treatment plant. As the lead agency under CEQA, the ETWD has prepared an IS/MND, which evaluates the potential environmental effects of the proposed Phase II Recycled Water Distribution System Expansion Project. The proposed project would include construction of approximately 28,500 ft or 5.4 miles of recycled water pipelines beneath existing roadways. The pipelines would require excavation depths of 5 to 7 ft within the existing paved roadways. There are existing utilities within these roadways at approximately 8 ft in depth. Once completed, the max amount of recycled water to be delivered to the project area would be 300 afy, and would remain within the permitted capacity of the existing ETWD water recycling plant. The system would be supplied from the existing Recycled Water Tertiary Treatment Plant at the ETWD WRP.
