Projects are part of implementation of County of Humboldt’s Retire, Remediate, and Relocate (RRR) program of Commercial Cannabis Cultivation Sites which are to incentivize, promote, and encourage the retirement, remediation and relocation of existing cannabis cultivation operations occurring in inappropriate or marginal environmentally sensitive sites to relocate to environmentally superior sites. The receiving site is stated as being located on an agricultural field at APN 209-191-018. One encroachment is for replacing/removing a crossing from unnamed tributaries to Cow Creek. Work for the crossing will include removing/installing a culvert, removing fill material from channel, stabilization of the banks with appropriate materials. The other proposed encroachment is to restore the headwaters of a stream that was excavated into an impoundment for use of ponded waters for what appears to be irrigation.
