The first encroachment is the alteration of an existing spring cistern and drainage improvement to the wetland associated with the diversion site. Water will be diverted for domestic use. Irrigation water will be sourced from a new groundwater well. Work for the water diversion will include replacing the existing 12-foot diameter concrete ring cistern with a 4-foot diameter ring and replacing an existing 12"" culvert with a 24"" culvert that accommodates the spring flow where it crosses the road (40.3614, -123.7220). The second proposed encroachment is to improve a Class IV stream channel (40.3597, -123. 7210). Work for this encroachment will include excavation of the ditch and installation of a 24"" culvert, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion. The Class IV ditch will then be buffered with native grass vegetation with a minimum barrier of 15 feet.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2015102005/263,Water Diversion Removal (Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. EPIMS-HUM-36939-R1C),David Manthrone,Department of Fish and Wildlife Northern Region,N/A,,619 Second Street,,Eureka,CA,95501,7074415900,40.3615°'"N 123.72200°'"W,,Humboldt,,,,,217-032-012,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,CDFW,No,7/23/2019,No,No,Yes,,Yes,No,No,No,Available to the general public at the office location listed above for the Lead Agency.
