Existing rocked fords will be used at watercourse crossings 3, 8, 9 and 13. Sites 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 will be permanent culverted crossings sized to accommodate the 100 year flood flows. Rock will be placed over the crossing and critical dip installed to prevent stream diversions in the event of culvert plugging. All drafting locations already exist and were historically used by other timber owners. Only site 3.1 requires modification. Site 3.1 will have a temporary sand bag dam installed above the existing pond with a 6 in pipe installed in order to convey flow back to the stream below the dam. Small amounts of spill from the temporary dam will be used to fill the pond while maintaining flow in the stream. The temporary dam will be removed following completion of operations.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2015099010,Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2015-0369-R1 Cold Springs Emergency Timber Operations 2-15EM-100TRI,T.O.
