Marina View Park was originally constructed in 1978. A dedicated playground area was installed in 1992, which included a factory manufactured playground feature with an Americans with Disabilities Act compliant surface. Due to safety concerns resulting from deterioration of the equipment, a replacement of the manufactured playground will be performed. Work to complete the proposed project will include the following: Removal and disposal of existing playground equipment Removal and disposal of existing synthetic playground surface. Installation of new playground equipment. Installation of 1,870 square feet of pour-in-place synthetic resilient playground surface. Construction of a concrete base using Class 2 aggregate material. Construction of a 53-foot-long concrete edge. Construction of the proposed project will generate a minor amount of vehicle trips; thus, impacts related to air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, and transportation and traffic are not anticipated to occur.
