The project involves replacing distribution line poles and adding poles where the current spacing is too far apart. The project occurs both within the City of Arcata and the County of Humboldt's unincorporated jurisdiction. Within the County's jurisdiction, 144 poles will be replaced or added. Although all work will occur within the PG&E and road right of way the project will involve work within wetlands. Approximately 2,588 square feet of wetlands will be temporarily impacted by construction activities. Approximately 27 square feet of wetlands will be permanently impacted by pole replacement activities. No major grading is required. The work is required in order for the line to continue supporting approximately 4,000 existing customers and general load growth in Arcata and McKinleyville. Without reconductoring the existing customer use and new growth will over burden the current system and customers will likely experience power outages.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2012082014/2,PG&E Arcata Reconductoring,Beth Burks,"Humboldt County, Planning and Building Dept.",N/A,,3015 H Street,,Eureka,CA,95501,7072683708,40°52'56"N 124°6'16"W,"Arcata, Eureka",Humboldt,,"11th Street, Janes Road, Mad River Road",95521,1,,Hwy 101,"Mad River, Janes Creek, Jolly Giant Creek",,,,,,,,,,,,,Humboldt County Zoning Administrator ,Yes,11/3/2011,No,No,Yes,,Yes,,No,Yes,"Planning Division, 3015 H St, Eureka, CA 95501"
