The RAW focuses on excavation and removal of approximately 3,200 tons or 2,000 cubic yards of soils with elevated levels of total chromium and hexavalent chromium, and other waste material. The RAW also includes remediation of hexavalent chromium contaminated groundwater by injecting a reducing agent into the groundwater to reduce hexavalent chromium into its less toxic form. This will include the extraction of groundwater as the agent is injected (push/pull method) to allow better dispersion of the product to have a greater effect on the contaminated groundwater. The purpose of the removal action is to remove or reduce the human health-based risk associated with hexavalent chromium in soils and prevent continued migration of contaminated groundwater.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2012038177,Removal Action Workplan for Hard Chrome Engineering,Nina Bacey,Department of Toxic Substances Control,N/A,,Brownfields and Environmental Restoration Program,700 Heinz Avenue,Berkeley,CA,94710,5105402480,,,Alameda,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Other,,"General Rule: S:15061(b)(3) No possibility of a significant environmental effect.",,,,,,,,,,,,
