The project is located approximately 1.2 miles north of Interstate 10 and 1.4 miles west of Interstate 215, in the City of Colton. As a result of the project, Laurel Street will be lowered as an underpass and Miller Drive will be slightly lowered to intersect at the new depressed grade. The project objectives are to improve public safety, improve local circulation due to local conflict between the roadway and railroad tracks, reduce air quality emissions, and establish a train horn quiet zone within the city limits. The project will require relocation of all existing utilities that are in conflict with the construction of this grade separation. Additional improvements would include Best management Practices (BMP) to handle storm water runoff, hardscape and landscape treatment intended to enhance the appearance of the project area, and provision of dedicated pedestrian facilities.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2011098418,Laurel Street/BNSF Grade Seperation Project,Mark Tomich,City of Colton,N/A,,650 N.
