The headworks section of a treatment plant is the location where wastewater enters the facility and receives preliminary treatment for removal of large solids and grit. The headworks facility at WRP 7 would use screens to remove large objects. The screened effluent would be pumped to the above-grade grit chamber, which would remove heavy inorganic materials, such as sand and gravel. Following preliminary treatment at the headworks, effluent would be conveyed to existing secondary treatment facilities (i.e. aeration tank). Under the proposed project, two new influent pipelines and one new effluent pipeline would connect the proposed headworks to the existing influent trunk sewer, influent force main, and existing aeration tank. The proposed improvements would not increase the treatment or flow capacity of WRP 7 beyond what has already been approved in previous CEQA documentation (Montgomery Watson, 2000). The project would also reconstruct portions of Avenue 38 and Madison Street and construct frontage improvements adjacent to and outside the fence line of WRP 7, including new landscaping, sidewalks, and block walls for visual screening, if necessary. Also included in the project is extension of the existing 18-inch water main lines along WRP 7 frontages.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2011091063,Water Reclamation Plant No. 7 Headworks Project,Luke Stowe,Coachella Valley Water District,N/A,,85-995 Avenue 52,,Coachella,CA,92236,7603982651,,Indio,Riverside,,Avenue 38/Madison Street,92203,~.5,VAR,I-10,Coachella Canal,,Yes,9/21/2011,10/20/2011,Waste Treatment,,"Aesthetics, Air Quality, Biological Resources, Cultural Resources, Cumulative Effects, Flood Plain/Flooding, Geology/Soils, Growth Inducement, Hazards & Hazardous Materials, Hydrology/Water Quality, Land Use/Planning, Noise, Population/Housing, Sewer Capacity, Transportation, Vegetation, Wildlife",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
