The bridge crosses over the Sweetwater Road to Bonita Road. The existing 610-foot bridge was constructed in 1940 as a concrete slab bridge supported on concrete piles and pile extensions. It currently carries two lanes of traffic and an approximately 4-foot-wide sidewalk on the northeasterly side. The age of the bridge, combined with outdated railings/barriers, the lack of American with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant sidewalks, and the lack of standard lanes and shoulders, makes the replacement of the bridge a necessity. The project proposes the replacement of the existing bridge with a four-lane 80-foot-wide structure, paved shoulders, ADA compliant sidewalks and bicycle lanes. Additional work will include installation of curbs, gutters, new railings, drainage facility reconstruction, directional signage, and pavement markings. The project would allow the continuation of the existing equestrian trails on both the east and west locations. Willow Street would remain open with two-lanes of traffic during the two stages of construction.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2011081074,Willow Street Bridge Replacement Project,Benjamin Guerrero,City of Chula Vista,N/A,,276 Fourth Avenue,,Chula Vista,CA,91910,6194765311,,Chula Vista,San Diego,,Bonita Road and Sweetwater Road,91902,,"Book 591, pages 23 & 24",I-805,Sweetwater River,,Yes,8/19/2011,9/19/2011,Transportation,Master Plan,"Aesthetics, Air Quality, Biological Resources, Cultural Resources, Drainage/Absorption, Flood Plain/Flooding, Hazards & Hazardous Materials, Hydrology/Water Quality, Land Use/Planning, Noise, Vegetation, Wetland/Riparian",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
