The well was drilled between December 2005 and March 2006 under a ministerial permit issued by Kern County. The treatment system was constructed and placed in service in 2009. The well includes a 600-hp variable speed pump with a capacity of 3,000 gpm. The treatment system currently includes two hydro pneumatic catalytic carbon (CAC) vessels with the capability to expand to four vessels. Vaughn WC currently proposes to install two vessels thus limiting the production to 1,600 gpm. The well will also include a 12.5% sodium hypochlorite disinfection system. Backwash from the treatment system will go to an onsite retention basin.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2010118257,"Permitting and Operation of Willow Pond Well, Treatment and Disinfection System",Tricia Wathen,California Department of Public Health,N/A,,Visalia Distric Office,"265 W.
