If adopted, PAR 1147 would: 1) change the NOx emission limit for low temperature (<1,200 degrees Fahrenheit) ovens and other units with a heat input rating of less than 325,000 Btu/hour from 30 parts per million to 60 ppm; 2) change the NOx emission limit for low temp afterburners, burn-off ovens, incinerators, and related equipment from 30 ppm to 60 ppm; 3) change the compliance date for small in-use units (NOx emissions of one pound per day or less) from a schedule based on a 20 year lifetime to a 35 year lifetime or unit the units are replaced, retrofit or relocated; 4) change the compliance date for heated process tanks from a schedule based on a 15 year to 20 year lifetime to when the units are replaced, retrofit or relocated; 5) add a testing exemption for ultra-low NOx infrared burners; 6) clarify an exemption for food ovens; and 7) clarify an exemption for food ovens; 8) clarify an exemption for flare type PM, VOC and air toxics afterburner and incinerator systems; and 9) require equipment aged 30 years or older to be replaced.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2009061088/5,Proposed Amended Rule 1147 - NOx Reductions From Miscellaneous Sources,Barbara Radlein,South Coast Air Quality Management District,N/A,,21865 E.
