This type of chemical dosing is commonly used in public waterways but the effectiveness is highly variable for different types of source water. Testing in the delta area is needed to validate potential measures for improving water quality. The project includes construction of wetland test areas on Twitchell Island agricultural field. The project will utilize excess irrigation water but will have no effect on the quantity or quality of the test water. All soil disturbing activities will be more than 250 feet from aquatic features and the project would have no effect on the giant garter snake or other wildlife species.,https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2008108165,UC Davis Twichell Island Low Intensity Chemical Dosing Water Investigation,Sid England,"University of California, Davis",N/A,,One Shields Avenue,,Davis,CA,95616,5307522432,,,Sacramento,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Categorical Exemption,"class 4, 6","The proposed project is consistent with the CEQA categorical exemption class 4 (minor alteration to land) and class 6 (information collection).
