The project will entail collection and analysis of surface water grab samples and field measurements such as flow rate, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, pH and temperature. Samples will be collected for laboratory analysis for bacteria, minerals, metals, nutrients, chemical oxygen demand, pesticides and PCBs. Data will be collected by Inland Empire Waterkeeper staff pursuant to a State-approved Monitoring Plan and Quality Assurance Project Plan. This project will not result in serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource. At the official conclusion of the project in June, 2010 the data will be given to the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board (a public agency), which may lead to a discretionary action at that time.
