The runway is 7,000 feet long and 100 feet wide with 12 foot wide shoulders. Two options are proposed to recognize potential differences in costs, grant funding availability and life cycle of the resultant project. Rehabilitation includes either overlaying the existing asphalt runway with fourteen-inch thick concrete to form a new runway surface or pulverizing the existing asphalt pavement, adding an aggregate base and repaving with asphalt pavement resulting in an increase in the base elevation of the runway of 9 inches. Both proposals will reconstruct the runway shoulders to bring them up to meet runway grade; contour adjacent natural surfaces to meet the new runway grade and revegetate same; replace existing runway edge lights, place lighted wind socks at each end of the runway and repaint the runway markings.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2008022129,Mammoth Yosemite Airport Runway Rehabilitation,Ray Jarvis,City of Mammoth Lakes,N/A,,P.O.
