The construction of the proposed project would eliminate the need for collection trucks to travel from the City's northern areas to south Sacramento and to the North Area Recovery Station. The proposed project operations would be located within a single building of approximately 100,000 square feet. The site may also include an area designated to receive household hazardous wastes. A Visitors' and Education Center would provide information to the public about the facility's operations and would include sufficient space to hold public meetings. The solid waste transfer station would occupy approximately half of the 100,000 square-foot main building and would include an approximately 50,000 square-foot main tipping floor where waste materials would be initially sorted. The facility would be designed to accept and handle a variety of waste types from numerous sources, mostly consisting of municipal solid waste. No hazardous materials, other than household hazardous waste, would be accepted at the site. The main building would also include a MRF of approximately 50,000 square feet with sorting and baling capabilities. MRF operations would occur completely within the proposed main building. The proposed peak daily tonnage of waste accepted at the facility is proposed to be 2,000 tons per day (tpd). The expected average daily tonnage accepted at the site would be below this limit.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2006082041,Sacramento Recycling and Transfer Station - North Project,Jennifer Hageman,City of Sacramento,N/A,,"2101 Arena Boulevard, Suite 200",,Sacramento,CA,95834,9168085538,,,Sacramento,,"Vinci Avenue, Main Avenue & Raley Boulevard, Del Paso Road & Northgate",,12,"215-0273-004, 007, 008, 009, 016, 017, 028; 215-0244-022, 023, 024, 025; 237-0011-037",80,,,No,8/9/2006,9/7/2006,Industrial,,"Aesthetics, Air Quality, Cultural Resources, Drainage/Absorption, Hydrology/Water Quality, Land Use/Planning, Public Services, Transportation",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
