When the replacement dam is completed, DSOD restrictions will be lifted and the original reservoir pool will be restored to the normal maximum water surface elevation of 756 feet. Construction will take approximately 4 years. The CDRP includes the following: a new dam and spillway, support buildings, haul roads, road improvements, staging, stockpile, borrow and disposal areas and power line upgrades. Project activities include grubbing and grading, demolition, excavation, blasting at borrow areas and within the dam footprint, and tree and vegetation removal. The CDRP will result in the permanent loss of 654 acres of habitat for the California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) and 501.11 acres of habitat for the Alameda whipsnake (Masticophis lateralis euryxanthus).",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2005102102/6,Calaveras Dam Replacement Project,Carl Wilcox,"DFG, Bay Delta Region",N/A,,7329 Silverado Trail,,Napa,CA,94558,7079445500,37°29'"N 121°49'"W,"Fremont, Milpitas","Alameda, Santa Clara",,Calaveras Creek in the Diablo Mountain Range,94586,1960 ac,096-0100-027-00,,Calveras & Alameda Creeks,,,,,,,,,,,,,DFG ,No,6/24/2011,No,Yes,No,,Yes,,No,Yes,"City and County of San Francisco Planning Department Major Environmental Analysis 1650 Mission STreet, Suite 400 San Francisco, CA 94103"
