The proposed project would include: demolition of existing facilities, use of temporary police station facilities, and construction of a new police station on the existing Hollenbeck Police Station site. All existing structures within the boundaries of the proposed project site would be demolished as part of the project, including the existing police station, a church, and 57 residential dwelling units. During the 24-month construction period, the existing Hollenbeck Police Station personnel would be relocated to 1936 East 1st Street. Parking for personal vehicles at the temporary location would be at an existing lot at East 1st Street and Hewitt Street. The new police station would include a 50,000 sf two-story administration building with holding cells, a 10,000 sf vehicle maintenance facility, a 350-space parking structure (approx. 130,000 sf), a vehicle wash facility, and a communication tower. The new police station would accommodate up to 350 employees; however, the total number of police station employees would not increase as a result of the project.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2004081091/2,Hollenbeck Police Station Replacement,Carter Atkins,City of Los Angeles,N/A,,"650 S.
