The Facility is located on approximately 14.48-acre parcel and has been in operation since 1989 within the Hayward Industrial Park. The Facility began the process to obtain a Hazardous Waste Facility (HWF) Permit from the Department of Health, the predecessor to DTSC, which was ultimately obtained in 1997. AERC receives hazardous wastes including fluorescent lamps, high intensity discharge lamps, halogen lamps, and various universal wastes. The hazardous waste is received on Bills of Lading or Hazardous Waste Manifests and stored in permitted areas authorized to store non-liquid hazardous waste. Lamps received at the facility are directed to the Balcan MP8000 Lamp Recycling System to separate the metal, glass, phosphor, and mercury for recycling purposes. RCRA waste generated through separating lamps in the recycling process is labeled, stored, and handled as RCRA hazardous waste. The Facility has been in existence since the 1980’s and requires no construction. All previously approved operational activities will continue to be consistent with the Hazardous Waste Facility Permit. The Facility’s Permit renewal would not result in a significant impact on the environment.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2004062148/3,"AERC.com, Inc., Class 2 Modification to the Standardized Hazardous Waste Facility Permit",Randy Snapp,Department of Toxic Substances Control,N/A,randy.snapp@dtsc.ca.gov,8800 Cal Center Drive,,Sacramento,CA,95826,9162553711,,Hayward,Alameda,,,94544,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Department of Toxic Substances Control,Yes,10/21/2020,No,No,Yes,,No,No,No,No,"The administrative record for this project is available to the public by appointment at the following location: Department of Toxic Substances Control Permitting Division 8800 Cal Center Drive Sacramento, CA 95826"
