The City of Sacramento, in coordination with the California Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration, proposes to reconstruct the Main Avenue Bridge (Bridge No. 24C-0008). Replacement of the bridge is proposed due to issues associated with structural deficiencies, including severe damage caused by timber decay and deterioration of the concrete deck. The proposed project consists of constructing a new four-lane bridge structure adjacent to and ultimately replacing the existing bridge. The proposed bridge structure will be approximately 821 feet long and approximately 80 feet wide. The proposed bridge will be elevated (grade-separated) and will span both the east levee of the NEMDC and the UPRR tracks. The new structure will accommodate four lanes of traffic and shoulders for standard bicycle lanes, as well as providing pedestrian and bicycle access.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2004042120,Main Avenue Bridge Replacement Project,Scott Johnson,City of Sacramento,N/A,,"1231 I Street, Room 300",,Sacramento,CA,95814,9168085842,,Sacramento,Sacramento,,Main Avenue between Northgate and Pell,,,,I-80,Steelhead Creek,,Yes,4/26/2004,5/25/2004,Transportation,,"Air Quality, Cultural Resources, Flood Plain/Flooding, Geology/Soils, Hazards & Hazardous Materials, Hydrology/Water Quality, Noise, Public Services, Recreation, Transportation, Vegetation, Wetland/Riparian, Wildlife",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
