The structure bridge work includes removal of all four curtain walls and part of both in-filled pier walls. The purpose of the project is to maximize the efficiency of Las Tablas Road and the Highway 101 Interchange to maintain acceptable traffic operations in the future. The project would also include realignment of the existing northbound off-ramp to improve the non-standard skew angle between the off-ramp and Las Tablas Road. The removal of the curtain walls will also improve seismic performance of the structure. These improvements will be fully (100%) funded by the County and construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2004. Project plans show the existing and proposed alignments. The proposed northbound off-ramp re-alignment will bring the off-ramp closer to the existing single family residential lots to the east. These lots are located several feet above the off-ramp elevation and a retaining wall will be required to achieve the realignment. The area of disturbance will total approximately 2 acres. The entire impacted area will be seeded and mulched, planted and erosion control measure will be installed to prevent erosion. The site is located on Las Tablas Road, at the intersection with Highway 101, Templeton, San Luis Obispo County, in the Salinas River planning area.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2004041122,Las Tablas Road at Highway 101 Underpass Widening Intersection,John Farhar,San Luis Obispo County,N/A,,County Government Center,Room 310,San Luis Obispo,CA,93408-2040,8057815252,,,San Luis Obispo,,Las Tablas Road and Highway 101,,2,,101,"Salinas River, Toad Creek",,No,4/26/2004,5/25/2004,Transportation,,"Aesthetics, Air Quality, Cultural Resources, Geology/Soils, Noise, Transportation",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
