Plantings include approximately 180 individual trees containers (Valley oak, interior live oak, California buckeye, etc.), approximately 1,220 shrub containers (California sagebrush, hummingbird trumpet, sunset rockrose, etc.), and approximately 2,550 groundcover plugs (coyote brush and coyote mint). 23,000 square feet of riparian benches will be planted with shrubs, perennials, and forbs (Deer grass, mugwort, coyote willow, etc.) and 11,000 square feet of channel bottoms will be planted with sedges and rushes (Soft rush, slender sedge, etc.). Prior to plantings, 2.88 acres of existing non-native vegetation will be removed, leaving 0.11 acres of woody native vegetation to remain. A low flow water crossing will be installed to extend the trail alignment across Elder Creek. The trail approaches will consist of approximately 10-feet of 4% slopes on either end, transitioning to approximately 30-feet of 2% slopes as the trail approaches the crossing. The low flow water crossing will be a single cast-in-place concrete structure consisting of four side by side concrete box culverts. Each culvert is 8-feet wide, 3-feet tall, and 20-feet long. Each culvert will be backfilled at a 1.2-foot depth with local native soil to create the bottom of the creek channel within the culvert. The culvert will have a 1.8- foot height from the creek bed to the top of the culvert. Approximately 175 square feet of rock slope protection will be place around the northern ends of the culvert structure, while approximately 285 square feet of rip rap will be placed around the southern ends of the culvert structure. The crossing will pass summer flows but may not pass winter flows and will be closed to access in winter months.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2004032104/13,Vineyard Point Amended Vesting Tentative Map and Special Development Permit and Affordable Housing Plan,Dylan Wood,Department of Fish and Wildlife,Environmental Scientist,dylan.wood@wildlife.ca.gov,1701 Nimbus Road,,Rancho Cordova,CA,95670,9163582384,38°29'37.6"N 121°21'25.8"W,,Sacramento,Sacramento,,,,064-0080-062-0000 and 065-0310-005-0000,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,California Department of Fish and Wildlife,No,6/8/2022,No,Yes,No,,Yes,No,No,Yes,"the office location listed above for the Lead Agency.
