(CWMI). The project involves continued disposal of non-hazardous wastes at KHF through development of a new non-hazardous waste landfill designated as the B-17 Landfill. Under the proposed project, approximately 18.4 million cubic yards (cy) of airspace would be provided with construction of the B-17 Landfill, a 62-acre non-hazardous waste landfill. With the proposed project, the total daily tonnage permitted for disposal of municipal solid waste at KHF would be increased from 1,400 tons per day (tpd) to 2,000 tpd with no daily limit on Class II soils that are received for beneficial use, such as daily or intermediate cover, or on wastes that are received as alternative daily cover (ADC).
