Plans for a third proposed reservoir of 11.1 AF capacity have been dropped. The reservoirs will be located on an intermittent stream. The area to be inundated includes blue oak (Quercus douglasii) woodland, mixed chaparral and grazed annual grassland. Approximately 232 blue oaks, of 10"" diameter or greater, and 68 chaparral bushes will be removed for reservoir construction. A blue oak riparian species mitigation plan has been prepared, and the plan will be incorporated as terms and conditions of the water right permit. Vernal pool habitat is absent on the sites, and an archeological field investigation was negative for artifacts. Well water will be used as an alternate water source when the stream runs dry, usually between May and November. No protests to the application were received.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2002098383,Application to Appropriate Water,James E.
