The applicant proposes to alter the streambed to repair a ""dip"" on Arizona type crossing on the downstream side of its crossing at San Juan Creek located within Ronald Casper's Wilderness Park. Specific project activities include the placement of rock rip-rap (675 cubic yards) along the down stream portion of the San Juan Creek low water crossing and the replacement of one (1) 10-foot long cement mortar pipe (CMP). The project site encompasses approximately 3,640 square feet (140' X 26', 0.08-acre). The rip-rap will be placed along a 140-foot section on the south side of the roadway, extend 26 feet downstream of the roadway, and will be approximately 5-feet high. Trucks will haul the rock to the project site and an excavator will place the rocks in the creek from the existing road.
