Coyote Creek flows intermittently with small pools during the summer months and the area under the bridge should be dry during the construction period. However, if flow is present during construction a temporary coffer dam above and below the bridge will be constructed and flows diverted around the work area via a culvert of flexible pipe. The majority of the widening work on the bridge will be done from the existing bridge structure. To prepare for widening the bridge falsework will be erected beneath the bridge. This falsework will prevent construction materials and debris from falling into the creek and will provide access for the widening work. To erect the falsework temporary footings will be placed in the streambed immediately below the bridge. To place the footings, a small piece of equipment such as a bobcat will need to access the stream. All stream access will be from the northeast side. Upon completion of the work the falsework and footings will be removed and the streambed restored to pre-project conditions. A number of riparian plant species will be restored to better than pre-construction conditions by revegetating both banks approximately 50 feet upstream and downstream of the bridge. Construction will comply with Caltrans' Storm Water Management Plan and Best Management Practices to prevent sediment and spills from entering the streambed and water supply.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2002032052/4,State Route 29 and Coyote Creek Bridge Widening,Fred Botti,Fish and Game,N/A,,P.O.
