The majority of that site is composed of the tailings impoundment and plant site. Both left from the Jamestown Mine. The tailings area is continuing to be closed and reclaimed, and the plant site is essentially reclaimed. The principal use proposed for the plant site is the Mother Lode Juvenile Center. The proposed 23,000 square foot regional juvenile detention facility would house, feed, school, and otherwise service a maximum of 60 juveniles. The regional center would directly serve the needs of Tuolumne, Calaveras, and Amador Counties; juveniles originating elsewhere could also be accommodated if beds are available. The facility would also include space for recreation, visiting and interviewing, and associated staff needs. The location chosen for the center is at the end of High School Road, in the area previously used for parking and office trailers by SMC. Water service to the facility would be provided by the Tuolumne Utilities District, and sewer service provided by the Jamestown Sanitary District.",https://ceqanet.opr.ca.gov/2000072022/2,Golden Pond Master Plan and Mother Lode Regional Juvenile Facility,Larry Beil,Tuolumne County Community Development Dept.,N/A,,2 South Green Street,,Sonora,CA,95370,2095335633,,,Tuolumne,,High School Road and Hwy 108/49,,450,"58-200-13,-25,-27,-28,-29;58-060-08; 58-010-43; 58-210-57",108/49,Woods Creek,,Yes,9/18/2000,11/1/2000,Other,"General Plan Amendment, Master Plan, Rezone","Aesthetics, Agriculture and Forestry Resources, Air Quality, Cultural Resources, Cumulative Effects, Drainage/Absorption, Economics/Jobs, Fiscal Impacts, Flood Plain/Flooding, Geology/Soils, Growth Inducement, Hazards & Hazardous Materials, Hydrology/Water Quality, Land Use/Planning, Mineral Resources, Noise, Public Services, Recreation, Schools/Universities, Septic System, Sewer Capacity, Solid Waste, Transportation, Vegetation, Wetland/Riparian, Wildfire, Wildlife",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
