IS Application No. 6742 and CUP Application No. 3420 (Temblor Petroleum Company, LLC)

Description

The originally approved project consisted of an exploratory petroleum oil/gas well and a well pad authorized by the Unclassified CUP No. 3420 on a 1.6 acre portion of a 3.15.15-acre parcel in the AC-20 (Exclusive Agricultural, 20-acre minimum parcel size) Zone District in unincorporated Fresno County (near the community of Five Points). Fresno County Dept. of Public Works and Planning, as Lead Agency, prepared and approved a MND pursuant to the provisions of CEQA. Temblor Petroleum Company, LLC proposes to drill one exploratory well (API # 019-25961) on the same well pad as originally approved by Fresno County by CUP No. 420 in 2014. The current proposal was approved by Fresno County under CUP No. 3533 in Oct. 2016 as an amendment to CUP No. 3420. The CA Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources considered the MND prepared by the Lead Agency, the local agency permit, and the analysis therein, and issued a Permit to Conduct Well Operations in its capacity as a Responsible Agency.
