Reasons for Exemption
This project involves preventative maintenance in the SR 203 right-of-way and does not involve any work that would be considered "expansion of use" of the existing roadway. Additionally, this work is considered maintenance of existing landscaping within the right-of-way. Additionally, these trees are within 100 feet of structures and removing them will reduce the fuels load in the defensible space zone.
