Document Description
Los Angeles World Airport is proposing to perform geotechnical subsurface explorations as well as to perform any temporary associated traffic control activities within Caltrans right-of-way (ROW) along Sepulveda Boulevard/State Route (SR-)1 – Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) between Post Mile (PM) 26.0 and PM 27.5, in the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County. The 18 subsurface exploration Borings are attached – Table-1 Summary of Geotechnical Field Explorations Locations Within Caltrans ROW. In addition, one subsurface exploration location outside Caltrans ROW but with traffic control activities within Caltrans ROW - OHSS-7 (see attached Table-2 Summary of Geotechnical Field Exploration Outside Caltrans ROW). Excavation will have a maximum depth of 1200 inches (100 feet), with an average of eight (8)-inches in diameter. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of-way will be acquired for the project.
