Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt from CEQA because it is a minor alteration and reconstruction of existing facilities and where the reconstructed facilities and new structures will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the facilities replaced. California CEQA Guidelines section 15301, 15302, 15303, and 15304. There are no similar current or proposed roadway projects in the vicinity of the project site. 15300.2(b). There are no unusual circumstances at the project site that would lead to environmental impacts. 15300.2(c). The project site is not on a State Scenic Highway and does not contain scenic resources, it is not a designated hazardous waste site, and will not affect historic resources. 15300.2(d)(e)(f). In light of these factors, the project is not subject to CEQA.
