Document Description
Caltrans proposes a District Director’s Order (DDO) to remove and replace an existing failed culvert (570794000726) located along SR 79 near Crosley Truck Trail in San Diego County. The work will be performed from the roadway using reversible traffic control and shoring boxes, and will also consist of placing construction area signs, and pavement repair. The work would include using a standard shoring system for a 5-foot excavation, removing and replacing the culvert system in-kind, backfilling with concrete, and paving with hot-mix asphalt (HMA). The culvert pipe runs perpendicular to the roadway for a total of 40.4 feet in length and will be replaced in sections. Immediate repair is needed to prevent the loss of life or critical infrastructure.
