Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) initiated a District Director's Order for an Emergency Force Account project with the purpose to facilitate the repair of a failed fire system in the Douglas Tunnel on Interstate 80, near postmile 1.94, in Placer County. In addition, this project was needed to develop an Emergency Response Plan (ERP), as per the request of Sunrise Region Maintenance. Proposed scope of work includes site preparation, repair/replace fire alarm panel and obsoleted communication system, replace heat detectors, electrical work, permitting, traffic control, develop emergency response plan, and incidental work.
