Document Description
The project is approximately 37 miles Northeast of Sacramento beginning in the community of Applegate. The next community along the Interstate 80 corridor is the Cape Horn / Magra community. The last community in the project area is the Alta Community, which is about five miles Northeast of Magra, as the crow flies. The entire length of the project area is approximately 25 miles along the Interstate 80 corridor. The project will utilize existing utility corridors and utility poles to serve aerial fiber broadband to these remote areas. There will be some underground conduit and/or micro trenching, placed in existing roads and disturbed right of ways, where existing overhead infrastructure does not exist. This consists of approximately 30,030' of new underground conduit and/or micro trenching in the Applegate area, 9,488' in the Cape Horn / Magra area and 35,930' in the Alta area.
