Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), in coordination with the California Conservation Corp (CCC), will implement vegetation clearing (trimming/cutting), removal of flood related vegetative debris, and removal of garbage from specific areas within tributaries of Clear Lake to provide fish passage and access to spawning habitat for native fish. Activities will be implemented by hand, utilizing CCC crews, and will be coordinated with willing landowners, including the County of Lake, Tribes, Bureau of Land Management and private landowners. Vegetation removed from the watercourse will be placed in upland areas where it may not re-enter the watercourse, and will be chipped, lopped or burned on-site, or hauled off-site. Debris/garbage will be removed and disposed of in an appropriate off-site location/facility.
