Document Description
The project will replace loop detectors on SR-24 in Alameda County at post mile R5.23. Construction will involve trenching with ground saws to cut the pavement and then placing inductive loops in the pavement. The new loop detectors will be connected to existing controller cabinets. The roadway will be overlaid with asphalt concrete and any removed delineation will be replaced. All work is located within Caltrans right of way either on or directly adjacent to the roadway. Equipment staging would be within Caltrans right of way in areas absent of vegetation. Construction is scheduled to take place in September prior to the rainy season.
