Document Description
The proposed project would remove a piece of sheet pile from the southbound State Route 41 near the San Joaquin River Overflow Bridge, Canoe Ramp, in Madera at post mile 0.022. The purpose of this project is to remove a piece of sheet pile that was left behind from a previous construction project. Removal of the sheet pile is necessary because it is a contributing factor to erosion at the riverbank. The sheet pile, located at the northwestern portion of the bridge, will be pulled from the riverbed utilizing a crane that will be operated from the bridge. Work will be conducted off the paved roadway and no right of way will be acquired There are no significant impacts to the environment as a result of this project.
