Document Description
The primary scope of work includes the reconstruction of Cherry Lane between Falcon Way and Elm Avenue (SR 33) in Coalinga, CA. The work entails construction surveying, demolition of existing concrete improvements, roadway excavation and grading, placement of aggregate base and asphalt concrete pavement sections, construction of concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, curb ramps, alley and drive approaches, adjustment of existing utility lids and sewer manholes, and placement of traffic striping and signage for new pedestrian crossings and new class II bike lanes. The existing pavement is uneven, cracked, and failing. This project will not only correct major roadway deficiencies, but also improve ADA compliance, and create safer pedestrian crossings and bicycle facilities for the adjacent community college.
