The permit covers up to 20.2 million gallons per day (MGD) of secondary-treated wastewater discharged from the East Bay Dischargers Authority’s shared, deepwater outfall (EBDA Common Outfall) to Lower San Francisco Bay. This permit also covers up to 0.5 MGD of purified wastewater discharged to Alamo Canal to recharge the Niles Cone Groundwater Basin.
