Reasons for Exemption
The Board has determined the project is exempt from CEQA under the Class 1, Existing Facilities, Class 2, Replacement and Reconstruction, and Class 4, Minor Alteration of Land categorical exemptions (CEQA Guidelines § 15301, 15302, and 15304), because the proposed activity consists of the removal and replacement of a pipe that has been damaged and is need of repair and rehabilitation and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity. Further, none of the exceptions to the exemption in CEQA Guidelines § 15300.2 apply. Please note, the signed NOE is not attached.
