Document Description
Provide annual preventative maintenance and grounds keeping for both Big Basin Redwoods SP and Portola Redwoods SP to ensure appropriate drainage and reduce damage to infrastructure from erosion, repair delineations of road and trail ways, enhance public recreation, and provide for public safety. Work will include fencing repairs, drainage ditch clearing, hazard tree removal, bench repairs, fire pit cleaning, burn piles, and general maintenance and grounds keeping tasks.

Project consists of the operation, repair, and maintenance of existing public or private structures and facilities involving negligible or no expansion of use, including the "removal of individual members or populations of wildlife or plants that pose an imminent danger to visitors", "repair I maintenance of existing signs, fence/ gate components", and "trail and road repairs" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR §15300.4; and minor alterations in the condition of land and vegetation that will not involve the removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
