- The proposed project will extend an existing water main from its terminus at approximate PM 49 .82 south as an 8" water main to the intersection of South main Street and East Blake Street in Yreka. Continue the 8" main west down East Blake Street past the Caltrans right-of-way. This water main extension is required by the City of Yreka to serve the proposed Dollar General Store at the the northeast comer of South Main Street and East Blake Street. Include a water service tap for the Dollar General Site from the South Main Street 8" main. The water main will become property of the City of Yreka.

- The City of Yreka, as the CEQA Lead Agency, has determined the project as a whole is exempt in accordance to the guidelines for a Type 32 Categorical Exemption pursuant to Section 15332, In-Fill Development Projects. In addition, the proposed project is categorically exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines 15061 (b) (3), the "Common Sense" Exemption as it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the proposed project could have a significant effect on the environment.
