Document Description
The California Department of Transportation proposes to construct centerline and shoulder rumble strips south of the City of Kerman and northeast of the City of Coalinga in Fresno County. The project is located on State Route 145 from post mile (PM) 0.0 to PM 33.63. The project proposes to construct centerline rumble strips from PM 0.0 to PM 13.21 and PM 26.09 to PM 29.10. Centerline and shoulder rumble strips will be constructed from PM 13.21 to PM 20.28 and from PM 29.10 to PM 33.63. In addition, 2 feet of pavement grinding (cold planing) and pavement replacement along the centerline from PM 0.0 to PM 6.0 to a depth of 0.25 foot are proposed. The project also consists of grinding and replacing a 50-foot-long and 24-foot-wide asphalt concrete section to a depth of 0.25 foot at the following locations: PM 0.24, PM 13.47, PM 26.22, PM 30.03, PM 30.19 and PM 33.57. Secondary items include removal of approach guardrails and construction of crash cushions, metal beam guardrail replacement, installation of ITS elements, and sign panel replacement.

Furthermore, the project will not have a significant effect on the environment.
