Document Description
Install a new interpretive panel adjacent to the main parking lot in Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park to orient visitors, suggest popular hikes, and describe pertinent park rules. Work will: • Excavate two (2) post holes no greater than 3' deep and 8" in diameter; • Install one (1) 4"x4" post per hole and secure with concrete; and • Attach one (1) 4'x6' interpretive panel to the posts.

Project consists of the operation or minor alteration of exisitng public or private structures or facilities involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels; construction and location of a limited number of new, small facilities or structures, included as "signs" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR §15300.4; and the minor public or private alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve the removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
