Document Description
Remove non-native invasive shrubs and restore native coastal scrub habitat and vegetation at Garrapata State Park to improve habitat for manzanita and other native species and to reestablish vegetative diversity. The project will occur outside of bird nesting season and before viable seed set. Work will: • Remove approximately 3.7 acres of non-native Acacia by cutting with chainsaws and treating stumps with herbicide; • Restore an approximately 7-acre area by revegetating with native maritime chaparral and coastal scrub species.
